It all started with a basic decorating class in 1997 that our founder, Marita Laddaran, attended. She was so amazed at how a simple cake could be made into a gorgeous centerpiece. In fact, she was so inspired that she made her own wedding cake that year, and years later went on to graduate as a professional pastry chef from the Northwest Culinary Academy in Vancouver, Canada. And well, the rest is history!
Fast forward to over two decades later. We’ve been a part of thousands of weddings, birthdays, debuts, and other special celebrations. We were comfortable in our little niche of making customized cakes, until, well, the year 2020 rolled around.
2020 was undoubtedly a tough year for us, like for many others. With all weddings cancelled, we had to drastically pivot to survive. The silver lining? With the help of our wedding expertise, we started making tall, stunning buttercream flower cakes. We took familiar flavors such as chocolate, caramel, ube, mocha, and mango and elevated them into centerpieces for celebrations at home. We made hundreds and hundreds of cakes that year, largely thanks to the amazing support of our loyal clients and lovely blogger friends on social media.
Today, we feel so blessed to be able to continue to serve you. We will always stand by our promise that we’ll only produce the best for you—beautiful, freshly baked cakes that never scrimp on quality.
